To be a unique technology consulting firm in our area, in 2011 we knew that even as a small company we needed our clients to be in a high end datacenter. Our VitalVM Private Cloud resides in a Tier 3 datacenter facility that was originally built for the University of Minnesota in the 1980s. Located near the heart of downtown Minneapolis, our facility is strategically positioned at the fiber nexus for the entire region.

What is a Tier 3 Data Center?
A Tier 3 data center will have both redundant capacity components and multiple, independent distribution paths to serve computer equipment. Each component and distribution path element can be removed from service without having any effect on computer equipment. A Tier 3 data center must have sufficient permanently installed capacity to continue operations if any redundant component is removed. Planned site infrastructure maintenance can however be performed without any disruption to remaining equipment.
